QEMU+ReactOS+x2x
================

I have been using the ReactOS (an open source Windows NT clone, that
is) for some testing. I have not run it on a bare metal but inside the
QEMU container. It is not exactly fast on my POWER9 machine but it is
more than enough for testing of apps.

I'm playing with the Tcl/Tk, Starkits and Starpacks. But it is not that
important.

Now I often run both of my desktops side-by-side. On the left there is
the 1600SW display of the SGI O2 and on the right is the ViewSonic
VP171 LCD of the Blackbird (the POWER9 workstation). To control both
screens from a single keyboard and a mouse I use the "x2x" program.

The QEMU is just another X11 program on my Blackbird. It usually grabs
focus so mouse and keyboard events are limited to its windows and
cannot reach other windows. Thus I expected that if the focus is
grabbed by the QEMU then the x2x cannot be used. But it behaves
differently: even when I run QEMU in fullscreen then the "x2x" works -
I can freely move my mouse from one screen to another!

So now I'm using an UNIX at the left and the Windows (err. the ReactOS)
on the right as usual. I can move mouse (and focus) between those
systems without limitations! The only thing that does not work is the
system clipboard - I cannot select text on the IRIX and copy it to the
ReactOS.
