Mac + Palm: first attempt

After reading of the RPoD Phlog [1]  I tried to connect my Palm IIIx to
my Android computer (the Gemini PDA).  No success - the Termux does not
include the pilot-link and I have not found anything in the Play Store.

Then I decided  to try my Mac  computer. I have a PowerBook  G4 with OS
10.5.8. There is  a Palm Desktop 4.2.1 available at  the MacUpdate so I
downloaded and installed it. It even  works. The only problem is that I
am not able to connect to the  Palm. I have a USB-Serial adapter but it
doe not help: the HotSync manager still  says that there is no Palm and
the Palm itself says that there is no computer to connect with.

So  I have  ordered  a PalmConnect  kin  on  the eBay.  It  is just  an
USB/Serial adapter but hopefully the compatible one.

Update: logout [2] noticed that I  probably don't have a driver for the
USB-serial adapter and  he was (as always) right. I  should manage this
issue first.
