CF Ethernet
===========

It makes no sense to expect that older devices (like the Sharp Zaurus) will be
able to connect to modern WiFi networks. So I decided to find and try a card
for the traditional wired Ethernet. I have found several posts that declare
that the TrendNet CompactFlash Fast Ethernet Adapter TE-CF100 should work. Thus
I have got one. It wasn't cheap, one can probably got an older Zaurus for
similar price ($50).

But now I have such card and it works. So I am finally able to connect to the
Internet. Of course, the pre-historic Opera and NetFront browsers are almost
useless and the mail application is not much better. But it is possible to sync
the RSS/Atom feeds in the Zocalo and to install applications from (still
existing) on-line repositories. And stuff like telnet/ftp still works, too.

I tried the SL-6000 Zaurus with original Sharp OS and the SL-C760 with the
Cacko ROM and both work. The SL-6000 has it's compact flash slot on the top so
it looks a bit strange with the card and the cable. But it works.
