Power Mac 6100 once more
========================

I replaced the PROM battery: a LS14250 barrel-shaped battery. After bunch of
unsuccesful attempts (I also re-seated near everything inside the Mac) it
finally started. But the sound is gone for some reason.

So I have learned several things:
* The Kengighton ADB trackball is a nice thing and it works out of the box.
* The AlphaSmart writing device is nice but must not be connected as a sole
  keyboard of the Macintosh. In this case the computer will not start (it says
	Error 11 and hangs).
* I forgot that the Sonnet G3 upgrade is FAST (it's a 240 MHz CPU with a proper
  cache). The problem is now a small RAM and a slow disk (and the old bus might
  be an issue, too).
* The 1024x768 resolution looks nice and the font rendering is excellent.

Anyway, the overall speed of the computer is behing my 1994-era SGI Indy (175
MHz R4400SC CPU). It would be interesting to compare raw CPU power on some real
data but it will need some time.
