# [2018.12.06] Community

When I actively posted to livejournal.com, my journal was closed and
visible for a handful of friends, so there were very few posts with
any comments at all. When I posted to wordpress.com a few years
before that, my blog was open to the world, but nobody cared, so
there were even fewer comments (and only from friends from the
offline world). And here at gopherspace, there are surprisingly many
people interested in this log. I'm no psychologist/sociologist so I
can only guess why it's happening. But that really gives me a sense
of some community.

Today I finished reading the phlog of [Martin
Kukač](gopher://i-logout.cz) which I started doing when he wrote me
an email in response to the entry about my visit to Prague in
November.

Long live Gopher:) I want to thank gopher enthusiasts for creating
content for the Gopherspace, for developing modern yet simple
software related to it, mirroring great text resources from the Web
and for many other things that make me feel being in a good company
here.
