As I play around with my mastodon account,
update my profile picture, update some links,
I wonder if I should simply close it. I don't
want to subscribe to anyone as it will create
yet another distraction.

I browse to vimeo, I still can't close this
account as I have a couple of clients' video
on there. I need to download these videos
and upload them to their respective account.

I feel technologies are slipping away from me,
but at the same time I want to retain something,
I am not sure what. It's like an old friend
that I've grown apart and feel obligated to
maintain some sort of polite relation.

I probably should simply break up with it.
Vimeo and Soundcloud are the 2 lasts
'public' network I'm connected to. I
say public as I still have a toobnix
account (for videos) and a pixelfed account,
which I barely use. At least it's stil within sdf.

But even there, I don't see any point at keeping
an online persona. I like gopher, my radio show
on anonradio, my yoga and personal site,
continuing to experiement (or make happen)
lucid.observer. That's already plenty!
Plus my publishing site, and Communication
consultant site... Jeez...

2023 could be the year I've given up most of
my online life. Having only a little but that
is a bit more maintained... or not.

Smoking some spice, while on my typewritter,
playing violin, darbuka and synths, practicing
karate, directing a play. My offline life is
already full. But at the same time I feel
I'd miss out, as if this addiction was quite
deep... Can I? Would I? Lets see... How would
it feel if I didn't have an online life, or
a really minimal, gopher/radio life.

...next day...

Soundcloud, society6, behance, mastodon,
pixelfed, discord accounts has been closed
in the last 24 hours, it feels great!
I can't believe how many more account I
still have to close.

Vimeo tomorrow, and finally I can takle my
google account. I need it for some client for
web marketing. Microsoft for minecraft and
bing businesses, apple for everything apple
(unfortunately.) which can probably go too as
I don't own any apple hardware anymore.

Ebay, Reverb, I use them quite a lot.

Zoom, grammarly, elementor, adobe for work,
I don't think I can do without at this point.

I might be able to do without zoom and grammarly,
but I use elementor for most of my sites and
grammarly often save the day on my communications.
(which I don't use in gopher!)

It's incredible how many accounts I have. I
have been closing so many accounts in the last
2 years, I wonder if there are stats on this,
the median line of how many online accounts
people have, all that data floating around
cyberspace.
