I ordered myself some books off eBay a few days ago, and it's looking like
they'll be in either later today, or tomorrow. Namely, I bought "Document
Formatting and Typesetting on the Unix System" by Narain Gehani, "The X Window
System: Programming and Applications with Xt" by Douglas A. Young, and
"Absolute Beginner's Guide to C" by Greg M. Perry. The third was actually a
freebie, but it looked interesting, and I've been wanting/trying to learn C, so
maybe it'll help. For about $10 USD, I'd say it's not a bad buy.

And I /do/ want to learn C. It's just difficult when my brain doesn't work
with most programming languages, or at least with how they're taught. Perl,
and specifically O'Reilly's "Learning Perl" book, had been an absolute boon for
me while trying to learn /that/ for scripting. But everything I run into for
C, C++, and other languages just take things too seriously, or become way too
technical for a beginner. Hell, most Python I run into are beyong newbie
unfriendly, to the point I gave up on it.

I got to see one of my partners yesterday as they were moving to Texas. They
stopped by and spent the night with our other partner and I, and it was nice to
get that time together again. Eventually, our other partner and I will be going
back to Texas as well, but that's for later. For now, it's a matter of trying
to get to that point once again.

Now, it's time for me to get a bit of sleep. It's... 01:44 as I get to this
point, and I've gotten tired rather quickly tonight.
