MOMENTS OF LIFE In the little script I shared yesterday, you may have noticed a link: canonical.org/~kragen. The gods of Serendip urged me to visit it. And what a sweet rabbit hole I falled into, my friends! I ended up browsing his archives (back from 1996!), reading his very funny Idiot's Delight page, checking his pages of all the people he knows (at the datetime he created the said pages), and lost myself in the photo albums shared by him and his second ex-wife on flickr.com; notably their wedding in the cute little city of Bolinas, CA, in 2003 and their USA tour in a 1982 Volkswagen Vanagon (their "Magic Bus") in 2006. If you search a little more, you'll find (one of) his ex-wife website where she briefly talks about that once-in-a-life trip in her bio. Between the various links to her projects, you'll find even more photos of their trip. And if you push further, you'll step on her old livejournal where she speaks at lenght of the tour, among other things. I can't say how much I LOVE those kind of website where a person shares who they are as a whole (work, projects, everyday life, fun things, down sides, etc.). It's hard to explain, but it makes a human connection vibrate inside of me. I can spend hours on websites like that, and it moves me ev'ry-sin-gle-time. Nowadays places like this are quite hard to find on the sanitized modern web. But they do exist. I should cure a list of them. And maybe share items of it here each time I find one of those jewels. f6k, 2o23/o9/o3
