Last night at Dr. Zander's Centaurian Sunset Cantina, Bob
Howard, a computational demonologist told about his latest
encounter on Earth. He said he was sent to investigate a strange
anomaly in a server farm that was hosting a popular online
game.

Bob Howard was not his real name, of course. He worked for
a secret organization that dealt with occult threats and
paranormal phenomena. The organization was called the Laundry,
and it was a branch of the British intelligence service. It was
founded during World War II, when the Nazis tried to use occult
forces to win the war.

The Laundry's mission was to prevent anyone from using magic
for evil purposes, and to keep the public unaware of the
existence of the supernatural. He had a degree in computer
science and a knack for hacking, which made him an ideal
candidate for his job. He also had a passion for gaming,
which sometimes got him in trouble with his superiors.

He became a demonologist by accident, when he
stumbled upon a hidden file on his computer that contained an
ancient grimoire. He opened the file out of curiosity and
unleashed a powerful spell that summoned a horde of demons to
his apartment. He barely managed to escape with his life, but
not before he learned some useful tricks from the grimoire.

He was then recruited by the Laundry, who recognized his potential
and trained him to use his skills for good. He suspected that
someone had summoned a minor demon and trapped it inside the
game, using it as a cheat engine to gain unfair advantages. He
hacked into the game and tracked down the culprit, who turned
out to be a teenage hacker with a penchant for dark magic. Bob
confronted him in a virtual duel, using his own skills and
knowledge of demonology to counter the hacker's spells.

The battle was fierce and chaotic, with both sides summoning various
creatures and weapons from the game's lore. Bob managed to gain
the upper hand by exploiting a glitch in the game's code, which
allowed him to summon a giant dragon that breathed fire and
acid. He used the dragon to destroy the hacker's avatar and free
the trapped demon, who thanked him and promised to leave him
alone in the future.

Bob then logged out of the game and reported his success to his
superiors, who congratulated him and gave him a bonus. He said
he was happy with the outcome, but he also admitted that he
enjoyed playing the game and wished he could do it more often.
