Tuesday, August 2nd 2022 - To Ask For Help
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

We've had a few setbacks over the last few weeks. Some of it was
computer related, and we've managed to sort that stuff out. But
an ongoing issue we are dealing with is the lack of a water
heater. Ours died about a month ago, and after much research and
many phone calls, Margo put together a GoFundMe to try to raise
the costly $3,000 we need to get it replaced.

Margo already has some people donating to it, which is cool,
maybe we'll get lucky and be able to get this fixed. What really
surprised me, though, was the reaction from my own friends when
I posted the GFM link. Rather than any offers to help, they just
questioned if I really needed the money. They asked the same
three questions, over and over, unsatisfied with my answers. No
matter how many times I tried to correct course, I wasn't allowed
to.

So I have a problem. These are my oldest friends on the planet. I
am not close to anyone else. I love these people.

But it appears I've overstayed my welcome. My bullshit has driven
a wedge and I don't think it's fixable. I'm certainly never going
to ask for help in there again, but time will tell if that's the
extent of the damage.

Right now I don't want to talk to any of them.
