Another week has gone and I haven't posted anything in a while. Shame on me.

I finally got the amplifier I bought on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. This is the
Yamaha CA-V1 Natural Sound (1978) made in Japan: 25 watts per channel, 8 ohm,
frequency response 20Hz-20kHz. It is equipped with two beautiful vu meters - a
rarity for modern products. Unfortunately I have't had a chance to try it yet
since as I still have to bring the speakers (Bronze 1 by Monitor Audio) with
me. But hopefully tomorrow I will be able to set everything up.
I am also looking for a graphic frequency analyzer but at the moment I have not
found anything good and cheap. I will continue to search.

Despite having a lot of books to read and little time to do, yesterday I added
to the list "A History of Mathematics" by Carl B. Boyer. I must admit that when
I was younger this kind of thing didn't interest me - I was much more intrigued
by the matter itself rather than by its history, which seemed almost useless to
me. Now I have a total different vision. Giving a background to theoretical
concepts provides a greater understanding of the latter. Honestly I don't know
when I will be able to read this book but I can't wait.
