THE ATTACK ON PEARL HARBOR

It's interesting to revisit and reevaluate things you have believed or
have been taught.
During WW2, Japan invaded and occupied parts of French Indonesia. In
response, the U.S. seized all Japanese assets in the states, effectively
cutting off 94% of Japan's oil supply. Now desparate, the Japanese
decided to take out the U.S. Pacific naval fleet at Pearl Harbor, in
an attempt to prevent it from interfering with Japans plans to get oil
from other sources in the Pacific.
The Pearl Harbor attack killed about 2300 military personel, and 70
civilians. It damaged 19 ships.

If I am being honest, in retrospect, the Pearl Harbor attack seems like
a military action during a time of war, against a military target,
belonging to nation actively cutting off their supply lines. Does this
make it right? No. War is evil. And so was Imperialist Japan.
But the response of the U.S. was to detonate two nuclear weapons over
two major populated cities, killing an estimated 250,000 men, women,
and children. Thats....
That is a global scale war crime
