Not much today, I am trying to play Anchorhead,
a good text adventure (head to gopher://gopher.661.org
to fetch it, it's under games/zcode, I can't remember
the dir strcture now, get anchor.z8) which is like
playing some sort of Alone in the Dark game but
with just a text interpreter (frotz works from SDF).
The setting, as a non native, is difficult to grasp
at first, but with tools like WordNet (man wn,
wn word -over will give you definitions), makes the
game much easier as I can get the meaning of prose/
literarian English, something really difficult to me
as I'm used to just technical English and everything
else, bar a few jrpgs and action games with few
dialogues (and roguelikes, but the text amount is
very little and everything is repeating over and over)
doesn't exists in my daily life, save for a few
news read online and there is less drama than under
a doctor prescription.

Thus, being said that, I recommend you all to try this
before attempting to play Zork or Adventure in
order to get used to text adventures.
