Hi, I'm Alex.

I'm in my mid-twenties and working as a programmer in the US. I'm
currently in New England where I enjoy sweltering summers and
frigid winters, but when those leaves change color it all feels
worth it. I'm living with my girlfriend and our two cats; we all
work from home, cats included :)

If this was a web page, I'd tell you about my career, but it's
gopher, so it feels like it should be more personal, less sterile.

I love music. Whether it's listening to the right song for the
moment or getting together with close friends to sing and play,
music keeps me going.

I love to learn. Learning *NIX and the culture of tooling has been
a source of joy since I entered the programming field.

And lastly, I'm looking for community. Ultimately, that's why I'm
here. I tried the whole "rent a cheap VPS and self-host your
blog"-thing. And while I learned a lot, there was always the
missing human interaction. I'm excited to be here on SDF, a pubnix
with such interesting and deep history. I'm eager to experience
UNIX the way it was designed -- a social, time sharing system.
