[HLP:LABDMC.hlp 1 page] This program creates .DMC files for use with 1022. The .DMC files created type out all values for the selected records labelled by their attribute abbreviations (or the first five letters of their attribute name, if no abbreviation exists) as well as a number indicating that record's current position in the selection set (indicated by 'R' and the number). However, each .DMC file will only work properly on the set for which it was created (since only that set has those attributes!) Thus separate .DMC files must be created for each dataset for which you wish to have this wonderful capability. Upon running LABDMC, you will be asked to enter the name of your dataset followed by the name you desire for the corresponding .DMC file. (The default extension for the created file is .DMC). Then you may repeat the process for as many datasets as you like. When you have finished, you may exit by hitting <carriage-return> when asked for a new set name. To run LABDMC type R DBS:LABDMC [End of LABDMC.hlp] .KJOB
