I see  bradmac is  learning Emacs [0],[1],  a worthy  endeavor! I've
been an Emacs user for many years,  but have for some time wanted to
do the opposite - a deep-dive  into vi (and other classic Unix tools
like ksh  and awk), partly  for something different, also  partly to
keep my  brain active. It's also  just fun to learn  new stuff. Five
years ago I  wrote the SDF Emacs tutorial  and cheatsheet [2][3][4],
which I hope some might still find useful.

I read Rak's  problems with OVH [5], and although  I have never used
them in particular, I have had my share of issues with VPS providers
in the  past. So I  can sympathize. The past  five years or  so I've
been with Ramnode,  and have received excellent support  the once or
twice per year I need it. So I am in no rush to switch.
