Free To Stay Away From Android, Next Episode
============================================

Some news of the online access to the bank in France.

They finally decided to do almost nothing for people without Android
or iOS phones. They just sent a 4 digits code to enter in addition to
the code received by SMS. The good side is that it is free and easy
to use. The bad side is that it doesn't add any serious security. I
would prefer to have a proper open TOTP authentication.

If things are going worse, the big evolution since last year is the
enhancements of Waydroid[1], which now allows to run some Android
apps in a way which is secure and not too intrusive to privacy. I
tried it on my Phosh Pinephone and it worked, but I would prefer not
to use it: it seems important to me that people don't have to do
this. I see this new possibility like Wine on my Linux Desktop: I
want to use this as rarely as possible and only when I find it more
convenient for me than a linux native application which doesn't fit
my use - not because someone forces me to use a Windows application.
