MEMORY TRANSMISSION

You can store a document's image in memory and then have the fax machine
automatically send the image stored in memory. Also, the fax machine can
send the stored image to more than one station. Memory transmission is
automatic, so you do not need to monitor the fax machine during operation.

To use the memory transmission, follow these steps:

1. Place the document face down in the document tray (maximum of seven
pages at a time). The IN USE indicator flashes.

2. Press DATA MEMORY. The DATA MEMORY indicator flashes.

3. If necessary, adjust the contrast or resolution.

4. Dial the telephone number.

If you want to send the document to two or more stations, enter each
station's number one after the other.

Example: To send a document to a station whose number is stored in Memory
21, and to a station whose number is 213-555-6794. enter the
          following:

DIAL/TEL MEMORY 2 1 DIAL/TEL 2 1 3 5 5 6 7 9 4 or DIAL/TEL 2 1 3 5 5 5 6 7
9 4 DIAL/TEL MEMORY 2 1.

Note: The fax machine's Memory can hold up to three manually dialed
numbers. However, you can store as many memory-dialed numbers
       as you want.

5. Press START/ENTER to store the document's image in memory. The fax
machine prints out a confirmation sheet that shows the fax number (s)
you entered, and then starts storing the document's image in memory.
When the fax machine finishes storing the document's last page, the
machine automatically dials the numbers. After the document is sent
to all stations, the fax machine prints out the memory transmission
    journal.

To cancel the transmission, press STANDBY/STOP while the fax machine is
still dialing or sending the document. This cancels transmission to all
remaining stations and erases the document's image from memory. The
memory transmission journal (COMM. JOURNAL) prints INC (incomplete).

Notes:

* If communication fails during the fax transmission, the fax machine
automatically resends the remaining pages
