Remote Control (490-0796) Installation Overview Faxback Doc. # 8886
Alarm System

To install this system, you must be familiar with your vehicle's wiring
system. For example, you must be able to identify the following:

*  Accessory Terminal with + 12 Volts

*  Chassis Ground

*  Power Antenna Wire

*  Constant + 12 Volts

*  Door Switches

*  Starter Solenoid

If necessary, contact your vehicle's dealer for wiring information.

Cautions:

* Be sure your vehicle has a 12-volt DC, negative-ground electrical
   system. If it does not, or if you are not sure, have a professional
   install your alarm system.

* For safety and protection of your alarm system, disconnect the negative
   terminal's cable on your vehicle's battery before you begin.

WIRE THE IGNITION LEAD

To wire and connect the ignition to the control module, do the following.

* 1. Connect one end of the supplied, unattached blue wire's male quick
      disconnect terminal to the accessory (ACC) terminal in the fuse
      block.

      This connection provides 12 volts of power to the blue wire when you
      turn the ignition to the ON or accessory (ACC) position, and turns
      off power when you turn off the ignition.

* 2. Connect the other end of the blue wire to the control module's
      Terminal 13.

CONNECT POWER

Only after connecting all other wires do you connect 12-volt DC power. To
connect power, do the following:

* 1. Connect the male quick disconnect end of the supplied red wire with
      inline fuse to a continuous source of 12 volts.

* 2. Connect the other end of the red wire to the control module's
      Terminal 2. You now have two wires connected to this terminal.
