Cellular Telephone

The memory-dialing feature lets you store up to 50 telephone numbers.
Each stored number can include a name tag.

The memories are numbered 00 to 49. The phone uses location 00 for the
last number dialed (the number is stored automatically). You can use the
other 49 locations to store any telephone number.

Each location can contain up to 32 digits, or 16 digits plus a name of up
to 8 characters.

You can protect any memory's contents. To be protected, the first
character of the name must be an "*", and the memory lock function must be
enabled. You can also set the phone to only allow memory dialing from
memories 1-20 with no manual dialing (see "Restricting Calls to Memories
1-20").

STORING NUMBERS

NOTES:

-You cannot store telephone numbers when the MEMORY ONLY call restriction
is enabled (see "Restricting Calls to Memories 1-20").

-You can quickly dial the numbers you store in memory locations 1-9. See
"Calling a Memory Number (Short Method)".

Follow these steps to store a telephone number and a name tag for the
number:

1. Enter the number you want to store.

If you enter more than 16 digits (32 maximum), the display alternates
between the last 16 digits of the number and the remaining digits. For
example, if you enter 19 digits, the phone displays the last 16 digits,
then it displays the first three digits.

2. Press "SEL", "STO*" when you finish entering the telephone number.
The first available memory location appears (for example location 3).

3. To store the number in the first unused memory location:

Press "SEL". The number is stored in the indicated location.

TO STORE THE NUMBER IN ANY UNUSED MEMORY LOCATION:

different memory number.

B. Press "SEL". The new number is stored in the designated location.

4. After you save the number, the ALPHA indicator appears.

NOTE: If the telephone number has more than 16 digits, the ALPHA
indicator does not appear and you cannot store a name with the
number. Pressing "SEL" in Step 3 stored the number.

To store the number without a name, press "SEL" again or press "END".

TO STORE A NAME WITH THE NUMBER:

A. Enter up to 8 characters by using the number keys.

"space", "Q", and "Z". When in the alpha mode, do not enter a space as
the first character. After you select a letter, press "SEL" to store it
and then select the next one.
