Your Optimus Model 97 Four-Head VHS VCR offers some of the most advanced
features available in home video cassette recorders.  The VCR's FS 
(Frequency Synthesizer) tuning ensures extremely accurate tuning of up to
68 VHF and UHF Channels and up to 113 cable channels.  The full-function
remote control and on-screen programming make the VCR easy to use. 

Your VCR also offers all these features:

On-Screen Display with English and Spanish Language Menus---gives you
complete control of all functions, programs, and displays in either 
English or Spanish.  

Mid-Mount Design-improves video performance by increasing the VCR's 
mechanical stability, and allows a smaller, lighter cabinet.

Four Double-Azimuth Video Heads-provide superior picture quality and
special effects, compared to standard single-azimuth four-head VCRs.

Comb Filters-further enhance picture quality by using a special noise-
filtering technique.  

Automatic playback, Rewind, and Eject-makes playback easy by automatically
playing, rewinding, and ejecting a cassette that has had its erase-
protection tab removed.

181-Channel, Digital-PLL, Cable-Compatible Tuner-lets you select up to 
68 VHF and UHF channels (2-69) and up to 113 cable channels.

1-Year, 8-Event, Digital Timer-lets you program the VCR to make up to 8
unattended recordings within a 1-year period, including daily and weekly
recordings.  

On-Screen Programming-provides helpful instructions on the TV Screen for
setting the clock and program timers. 

Quick Set Recording-lets you start a recording immediately or within the 
next 24 hours, which automatically stops recording after the length of 
time you select.  

Variable-Speed Slow Motion-lets you vary the playback speed from 1/6 to
1/32 of the normal playback speed.

Frame Advance-lets you advance through a video tape one frame at a time.
Tuner Memory Programming-automatically stores all the active channels in
your area into memory with the touch of a button.

VISS Function-lets you mark sections of tape so you can quickly and easily
return to the section you want to watch.
