The Duophone TAD-248 is a combination multifeature telephone and
answering system.  It is ideal for use in your home or office, and has
many special features.

The TAD-248's features include the following:

Remote Control Operation - lets you operate the TAD from a remote
touch-tone phone or from a rotary phone using a pocket tone dialer.

Toll-Saver - saves unnecessary toll charges when you call by long
distance to check your messages.

Voice-Operated Transmission (VOX) - stops recording a few seconds
after the callers voice stops to conserve tape.

Call Screening - lets you screen calls when you are at home.

Digitally Recorded Outgoing Message (OGM) - provides clear, quality
sound and eliminates the need for an extra cassette tape.

OGM Tape Backup - provides permanent message protection in case of
power outages.

Three Priority Memories - lets you dial important numbers with the
touch of a button.

17 Additional Memories - lets you quickly dial frequently dialed
numbers.

Messages Indicator - shows how many messages or memos are recorded on
the tape.

Power Indicator - shows you that AC power is on.

Redial - dials the last number you called with the press of a button.

Touch-Tone or Pulse (Rotary) Dialing - lets you use the TAD with tone
or pulse service.

Flash - generates a switchhook signal for specialized services such as
call-waiting.

Reset Button - disconnects a call so you don't have to return the
handset to the base to hang it up.

Hearing-Aid Compatible - operates with a T switch.

Backup Battery - protects the phone numbers stored in memory if a
power failure occurs.

Wall Mountable - makes the TAD perfect for your kitchen, shop, and so
