PRINTER SELECTOR 3 (26/2844) INPUT CHANNEL SENSOR Faxback Doc. # 7061

SETTING INPUT CHANNEL SENSOR

The selector's automatic input channel sensor eliminates the need to
manually switch between the two input channels. this feature is useful when
you have two computers connected to the selector, especially if the
computers and printers are not close together. To activate the input
channel sensor:

1. Turn on the selector. Then, turn on the computers and the printer(s).

NOTE: In normal use or after a power failure, turn on the selector
before you turn on the computers and printer(s).

2. Set INPUT to AUTO. The INPUT indicators flash alternately as the
    selector scans for incoming data.

3. Set OUTPUT to the output channel you want to use. The indicator for
the selected output channel turns on.

4. Give the print command from you computer.

NOTE: You can manually change the output channel while printing is in
progress. For example, if one printer runs out of paper, you can switch
OUTPUT to the other position to print with the second printer. For more
information, see "Using the Backup Printer Feature."
