Six-In-One Remote Control (150-1905) Setup Faxback Doc. # 6664

Follow these steps to setup your 6-in-1.

1. Remove the battery compartment cover and install four fresh AAA
alkaline batteries (Radio Cat. No. 23-555). Observe the polarity
symbols (+ and -) marked in the compartment.

Note: Do not place objects on top of the remote control after you install
the batteries. This can press down keys for an extended period and
       reduce battery life.

2. Write down the codes for your original remote controls on the provided
label that fits on the back of the 6-in-1. For example, a code for an
RCA remote control TV is 047.

Note: Some remote controls have several possible codes listed. Try each
code until you find the correct one.

3. Press the key for the device you want to set up: TV, CABLE, VCR, CD,
AUX 1, or AUX 2. Press A-B-C and enter the 3-digit code for the
    device.

For example, to set up the 6-in-1 for an RCA TV with a code of 047, press
the following keys:

               TV-A-B-C-0-4-7

Note: The red IR indicator at the top of the 6-in-1 flashes each time you
press a key. it also flashes twice when you enter a code that it
recognizes. (This does not mean that it is the right code for your
       device, however.)

4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to set up other devices.

Note: When the 6-in-1's range decreases or the 6-in-1 operates
       erratically, replace the batteries.

Using Two or More Similar Devices

Normally you program the 6-in-1 for the devices listed on the devices keys
- TV, CABLE, VCR, CD, AUX 1, AUX 2, Plug'n Power, as shown here:

          TV-Key - TVs only

CABLE Key - Cable Converters, Satellite Receivers, and Video
                   Accessories

VCR Key - VCRs, Video Discs, and Cassette Decks

          CD Key - CD Players/Changers

AUX 1 and 2 Keys - Amplifiers, Tuners, Receivers, Home Automation
                   Products, Miscellaneous Audio Products

Plug'n Power Key - Plug'n Power modules

Normally, you program each key for one of its listed devices. However, if
you have two or more of the same type of device (two TVs, two VCRs, and so
on), you can convert any unused device key for another type of device. To
do this press:

                  A-B-C-9-9-9-
(unused device key) - (new device key function)

For example, the following key strokes convert an unused CABLE key for use
as a second VCR key:

                  A-B-C-9-9-9-CABLE-VCR

To change the CABLE key back to its normal function, use the following
sequence of key strokes:

                  A-B-C-9-9-9-CABLE-CABLE
