SETTING THE DAY AND TIME

The TAD records the day and time with each memo or phone message.

1.  Open the cassette compartment cover to expose the TIME SET button.

2.  Set MIN-VOLUME-MAX to the middle position.

3.  Press and hold TIME SET until the TAD announces a day of the week
    such as "Sunday" (this indicates the TAD is entering the time setting
    mode).  Then release TIME SET.

NOTE:  If you wait longer than 12 seconds and the TAD exits the
       time setting mode at any time before you reach Step 9, 
       wait until the TAD announces the currently set time and
       day, repeat Step 3, then press TIME SET until you reach
       the desired day, hour, or minute you want to set.

4.  To change the day of the week, within 12 seconds after releasing TIME
    SET, repeatedly press PLAY to move forward or MEMO/2WAY to move back-
    ward until the TAD announces the desired day of the week.

5.  Press TIME SET until the TAD announces the hour, such as "Twelve AM,"
    then release TIME SET.

6.  To change the hour, repeatedly press MEMO/2WAY to skip backward or
    PLAY to skip forward to the desired hour.

7.  Press TIME SET until the TAD announces the minutes,, such as "oh oh,"
    then release TIME SET.

8.  To change the minutes, repeatedly press MEMO/2WAY to move backward or
    PLAY to move forward to the desired minutes.

9.  After you set the day of the week, the hour, and the minutes, press
    TIME SET to end the setting mode and confirm the settings.  The TAD
    announces the day and time.

ANNOUNCING THE DAY AND TIME

To announce the day and time in either the standby or answer mode,
press TIME SET once.

    If the day and time are not set, the TAD sounds three beeps.

    If they are set, the TAD announces the day and time.
