Radar Detector (220-1646) Features Faxback Doc. # 6229

The Radio Shack X K Ka Super Wideband Radar/Laser Detector receives all
X-, K-, and Ka-band traffic radar signals and also detects the Laser
system many police departments now use to measure vehicle speed. The
detector can alert you to all known police traffic radar or laser systems,
The easy-to-mount detector alerts you with a light and a tone when it
detects a signal.

The radar detector has a unique FAST (False Alert Suppression Technology)
circuit that helps it prevent false alarms caused by signals from other
radar detectors, without reducing the detector's sensitivity to actual
traffic radar signals.

The radar detector has many useful features.

NOTE: Some areas have laws regulating the use of radar detectors.
Check with your local law enforcement agency about the laws in
       your area.

Signal Strength Meter - Shows you the relative strength of the traffic
radar signal so you can take appropriate action.

Highway/City Modes - Lets you reduce the detector's sensitivity to
X-band signals, often used for non-traffic radar
                        devices, without affecting the detector's
sensitivity to K- and Ka-band signals.

X-, K-, and Ka-
Band Signal Detection - Warns you when it detects signals, from any
traffic radar device. Different tones sound
to let you know the band on which the signal
                        is detected.

    Super Wideband
Ka-Band Detection - Detects the complete Ka-bandwidth allocated to
                        traffic radar.
