SENSATION! (250-1651) SETMODEM Utility Faxback Doc. # 2882

The SETMODEM.EXE utility is used to adjust the modem sensitivity to
phone extension pick-up in your house.

The default value for the sensitivity is 21. The lower the number, the
higher the sensitivity.

The user may need to increase the modem sensitivity if the following
occurs:

The computer continues to play the incoming call announcement after
   the user answers the call.

The computer does not log outgoing call information. (Popup on
   Outgoing Call is active.)

The user may need to decrease the modem sensitivity if the following
occurs:

After a call is ended, the off-hook icon continues to be displayed for
more than 15 seconds. (The user may not be able to exit Windows.)

To adjust the modem sensitivity, run the SETMODEM utility from inside
Windows.

To increase modem sensitivity, lower the number in the Modem Sensitivity
dialog box (usually 17-19 is good).

To decrease modem sensitivity, raise the number in the Modem Sensitivity
dialog box.

NOTE: The SETMODEM utility is only on the Startup disk.
