By default, the computer's built-in parallel port responds as LPT1 and
uses IRQ7. IF you install an add-on board with a parallel port
configured to memory address 03BCh, you need to adjust jumper E1 on the
system board so the built-in parallel port will operate as LPT2 and use
IRQ5.

To change the IRQ setting to IRQ5:

1. Locate the IRQ jumper E1 on the system board (see the illustration on
the back flap of this manual).

2. By default, the jumper is set to IRQ7 (pins 1 and 2). Move the
jumper block to pins 2 and 3 to set the parallel port to IRQ5.

3. Replace the computer-chassis cover. Reconnect peripheral devices and
plug in the power cord. Turn on the system.

4. If there is a memory-address conflict between the add-in parallel
port and the built-in parallel port, run System Setup. Use the
Parallel Port field in the Ports menu to set a new memory address for
    the built-in parallel port.

SETTING VIDEO AND GAME PORT JUMPERS

The system board contains jumpers that you can use to configure your
computer's display mode and enable or disable the game port (for jumper
locations, see the illustration in the layout document).

The system is set so you can connect your monitor to the built-in VGA
connector. The system will also recognize most add-in video adapters,
should you prefer to use one.

Disable the built-in VGA only if you install an add-in adapter and the
system does not recognize it.

To disable the built-in VGA, locate jumper E3 on the system board. Then,
move the jumper block from pins 1 and 2 only.

If you have disabled the built-in VGA connector and intend to install a
monochrome, rather than color, display adapter as the primary video
adapter, you must set jumper E4. Locate jumper E4 on the system board
and set the jumper block on pins 1 and 2.

The back panel of your system includes a game port connector. If you
install an add-in board that includes a game port, use jumper E14 to
disable the built-in game port.

To disable the built-in game port, locate jumper E14 on the system
board. Then move the jumper block from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 only.

To disable the built-in game port, locate jumper E14 on the system
board. Then move the jumper block from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 only.

To re-enable the built-in game port, move the jumper block from pin 2
to pins 1 and 2.
