You can connect to another personal computer running compatible file
transfer software. Before you can transfer files, you need to set the
File Transfer options.

To set the file transfer options:

1. From the Preferences screen, tap Connect.
2. From the Connect dialog box, tap File Transfer Options.
3. Select the baud rate to match the computer running the file transfer
   software.
4. Select the port to match the computer running the file transfer soft-
   ware.

To connect to another personal computer running file transfer software:

1. Make sure the power is switched off on both devices.
2. To attach a cable, uncover the RS-232C port and connect the personal
   computer to the unit using a null modem adapter and a serial cable.

   If you are using the IR port to transfer files, align them.

3. Turn on the power of the personal computer.
4. Turn on the power of the unit.
5. Tap the Launcher fixed icon, choose Utilities, and then choose File
   Manager.
6. Choose File Transfer from the Connect menu.

   The unit is now under the control of the file transfer software and
   normal operations and icons do not work. The unit waits for
   instructions from the other computer.

7. When you finish, press both A and B buttons on the unit to return to
   normal operation.
