This was an interesting beer to start advent off with. After reading
the description I was expecting this to taste like pine needles, and
it definitely delivered on that front! If I could make gin flavored
beer, this would be it. I could taste the juniper but not the
cranberries. Overall, the taste was very bitter even by IPA
standards. At first I didn't know if I would be able to finish the
whole bottle. But after a few sips my taste buds adjusted and by the
end, I was almost enjoying it. Definitely an interesting novelty
drink and not a bad brew, but not something that I would want to
have more than once a year or outside of the month of December.
Would I buy it again? No.
How much could I drink in one night? One 12oz bottle. |
