On corona, working from home, and government tyrrany.

------------------------------

It's been a while since I wrote something on here.

While I was away, the entire planet went kinda crazy. Suddenly,
everything shut down, got restricted and pretty much simultaneously
all the governments on this planet started overreaching and abusing
their power. Everywhere the same rhetoric, and the same flawed
arguments. Fear porn abound.

It seemed that most people suddenly stopped using their critical
faculties. And all it took was a barrage of fear.

In case you were curious (and to acknowledge your suspicion), I am
indeed not vaccinated for SARS-Cov-2. I have all the other shots, but
I took a pass on this one. I'm not against vaccines, but this one was
rushed, and I doubt there was a lot of quality control with these
shots.

As for the tests? Well, I did get myself tested a couple of times, but
less times than I have fingers on one hand (more on that later). I
think choosing PCR as the gold standard was quite stupid, since it was
never designed for that purpose, and only fueled more fear. My
government (here in the Netherlands) was screwing around with the
cycle counts, so they had a nice dial to turn up the fear porn by
increasing the cycle count, and creating more "infections" out of thin
air.

Also, in the last 2 years, I never got sick *once*, except for a few
months ago when the Omicron "variant" got me and I had some sore
muscles and big sniffles. And that was it.

All of this made my life pretty interesting. I mostly kept details
about my vaccination-status quiet to people. When asked, I said it's
none of anyone's business. My employer knew, and didn't care so much
(which is good). But then the discrimination came.

Suddenly I had to be tested to enter places. With an "app", written
with my tax money. The pressure rose for people to get jabbed. If you
didn't take the jab, you were excized from public life. Of course, our
"health minister" claimed that it was all voluntary, but there was
coercion, which is very illegal according to the Nurenberg code.

Suddenly, the constitution that we have here wasn't relevant anymore.

Now everything is pretty relaxed, but we're not out of the woods yet.
The emergency laws that were drafted have been extended several times,
and they are looking into making the emergency temporary law not so
temporary. People suspect they are going to curtail our human rights
yet again oncoming winter.

I'd call this tyrrany. Global tyrrany. Maybe we should do something
about this? I'm open for suggestions.

On the upside, I've been working from home all this time, and my
employer (who used to be quite strict about coming to the office) has
relaxed quite a bit. My wife and my cats like it (I'm home more
often). And I've been more productive than ever. Well, if you don't
count writing phlogs, that is.

I'll end it here. Take care folks.
