	All these upgrades
	~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the second half of the year 2015 I made quite a nice plan about
upgrading my desktop. I retired my PowerMac G5, replacing it with
HP Elite 7300 Core i5 PC for CPU-intensive tasks and Mac Mini G4 for
all other tasks. Everything went well, I edited my photo on the PC,
gophered on the Mini, days came and went. Then I've got more Mac Mini
computers. Two another with G4 CPU and one with Core Duo and then
everything went straight to hell.
The PC was last time turned on two days before Christmas. G4 Mini
about a month ago and even that was just to compile mplayer for 10.4.
Since then I work mostly on my Lenovo T400 (evenings in the sofa,
vacation) or on Core Duo Mini. Not exactly something that I'm after
all the years on big-endian Unix machines proud of.
For years (six to be precise) I had only my G5 and things were quite
simple. Now I have next to my desk four Minis, a PC and even the
PowerMac G5, which didn't miraculously disappear and is still stuffed
with all my data since 2009. Two months ago I bought a SSD drive and
I never even unpacked it, because I'm not sure where to put it.
It seems, that I have to reconsider everything I did with my computer
equipment in the last six months to make things work smoothly again.
