Women who worked at Hooters, Twin Peaks, or other restaraunts where the
waitresses are expected to wear revealing uniforms, did you like it? How
was your experience?
########################################################################
|u/reflectorvest - 3 hours
|
|I was briefly (~6 months) employed at Hooters about a decade ago in
|college. The uniform was uncomfortable mostly due to the weather (it
|was autumn/winter) and with it being baseball playoffs and football
|season the clientele could get pretty rowdy and the comments could be
|unpleasant, but the tips made up for it. I waited tables for a long
|time and I’ve never made that much money consistently. I’m talking $500
|on a Tuesday and I was the first cut.
|u/riptaway - 1 hour
|
|Fuck...
|u/Gold_Science6089 - 2 hours
|
|$500 on a Tuesday? That’s like winning the waitress lottery. Just
|don’t mind the rowdy comments. They’re a small price to pay when your
|bank account’s looking like it just hit a touchdown
|u/Boss_Os - 12 minutes
|
|> hit a touchdown 😂
|u/mankytoes - 1 hour
|
|As someone who has never been in one of these places, what would you
|say the acceptable level of comment is? Is the idea that you are
|supposed to/allowed to flirt with the waitresses a bit, or should you
|just act like you're at any other bar/restaurant?
|u/mnl_cntn - 1 hour
|
|Probably just treat them like a waitress at any restaurant and
|don’t make any comments that you wouldn’t to anyone else
|u/mankytoes - 1 hour
|
|So basically it's just a regular waitressing gig in a revealing
|t-shirt and you get insane tips?
|u/mnl_cntn - 1 hour
|
|Yeah. I don’t get the appeal of them, I don’t like to stare or
|ogle at women, especially when they’re doing their job. But
|some guys like it and tip big if the waitress puts on the
|charm. To each their own, but some guys take it too far.
|u/MaimedJester - 9 minutes
|
|Yeah I never got the appeal of that stuff like Strip club
|etc. Then when dating one bisexual girl and she wanted to see
|me interact with like nude other women I could see some
|appeal. No idea why you'd want to get aroused about someone
|you're not trying to fuck. With a bisexual partner her
|laughing at me getting a lap dance and then me laughing at
|her getting a lap dance from the same stripper was kinda fun
|and the stripper realized we were a couple and I wasn't
|trying/hoping to sleep with her or whatever. I guess for
|older people like Grandpa Simpson they enjoy being dirty old
|men when they can't get it up for actual sex anymore and just
|enjoy the female attention of young women but I dunno. Not at
|that stage of life where I need Viagra to even attempt to
|jerk off
|u/Living_Bass5418 - 1 hour
|
|Id say there’s probably more risk involved when it comes to
|crazy customers. You’re probably way more likely to get
|followed to your car after work at a place like this compared
|to an average restaurant.
|u/mankytoes - 1 hour
|
|Yeah there are always guys who can't, or choose not to,
|understand when a woman is being paid to be nice to them. I
|assume they always have decent security.
|u/Chilledlemming - 6 minutes
|
|I have been in there - literally decades ago. And while I can
|understand that some guys don’t understand the fine line
|between what is acceptable or not, there was an expectation of
|a cheery disposition and even some jovial flirting from the
|waitress. No touching or mentioning lewd acts, but expecting
|more than “whacha want?” while looking around at other tables.
|And yeah. That is a kind of acting and deserves a larger tip.
|I mean men aren’t going just for the food.
|u/Reddit_means_Porn - 14 minutes
|
|Are you aware that they regularly sit down and flirt first at
|these places? They’ll even touch you casually if they feel like
|it. I’ve seen them do dances and challenges and shit to make a
|spectacle. I’ve been in a hooters about 4 times too, spread out
|over years and different locations.
|u/mnl_cntn - 7 minutes
|
|Yeah, to get a big tip.
|u/Reddit_means_Porn - 2 minutes
|
|Y…yes that’s correct.
|u/DumbWhore4 - 1 hour
|
|If you wouldn’t say it to a male waiter, you probably shouldn’t say
|it to a female waiter.
|u/Foggl3 - 42 minutes
|
|"nice bulge"
|u/KingKooooZ - 1 hour
|
|So saying "I like your boobs" is fine then nice
|u/sporesatemygoldfish - 10 minutes
|
|I agree with that, DumbWhore4.
|u/hallese - 32 minutes
|
|This standard would lead to so much more harassment, I think.
|u/AQuixoticQuandary - 27 minutes
|
|How??
|u/Jnnjuggle32 - 16 minutes
|
|There’s nothing gayer than a really straight guy who loves
|his friends and is comfortable with his masculinity. I’ve
|seen marines do something to each other that would never,
|ever, ever fly if women were involved and in any other
|industry/work force would be reported as sexual harassment
|immediately. Again, this is men doing stuff with their bros
|stuff. Lots of ass slapping, tickling, dick grabbing, and
|words of ridiculous endearment.
|u/Dickshion - 47 minutes
|
|I mean these girls know what restaurant they’re working at. They
|will definitely be more polite and personal, even flirty, just
|because the clientele are mostly guys who come there specifically
|because they want attention or to ogle at women. Flirting or being
|extra polite gets you a bigger chance at an earning regular or
|making a big tip. So you can flirt and be nice to the waitress if
|she’s giving you those vibes but some men get degrading and/or
|cross the flirting line. Like trying to get personal details or
|asking when they get off shift etc. Same concept as going to a
|strip club. The strippers are going to be extra nice to you but
|that doesn’t mean they want you to degrade them or that they’re
|going to go home with you
|u/kerkyjerky - 16 minutes
|
|I mean, no comments are appropriate. Just treat them like any other
|waitress.
|u/mahhhhhh - 6 hours
|
|I worked for a private catering company in college. We dressed
|“professionally slutty” and served food to these wealthy folks who part
|of a private beach club. Comments were outrageous but so were the
|tips. Also, lots of swingers and woof the drama was amazing.
|u/Sanz1280 - 4 hours
|
|Spill the drama, atleast the intriguing ones
|u/Danskoesterreich - 3 hours
|
|What does professionally slutty look like?
|u/ositola - 3 hours

|u/math-yoo - 3 hours

|Slutty monopoly man.
|u/SirPiffingsthwaite - 2 hours
|
|Is he not slutty enough?
|u/WombatInferno - 35 minutes
|
|I mean the monocle alone is peak slut.
|u/Strobetrode - 26 minutes

|u/azalea24601 - 2 minutes

|Apparently he used to in his youth. He finally earned
|enough to buy a contact lens. Now Mr. Peanut has a
|monocle monopoly.
|u/NhylX - 1 hour
|
|Monocles over each nipple.
|u/Jaredocobo - 49 minutes
|
|It's way too early for me to be stacking these bricks!
|u/disterb - 2 hours

|u/prostheticweiner - 2 hours
|
|Welp, I'm aroused.
|u/___TheAmbassador - 43 minutes
|
|Do not pass go, go straight to the ball gag.
|u/Al__B - 31 minutes
|
|Shutter monopoly man was not a mental image I predicted for
|today but here we are...
|u/Danskoesterreich - 3 hours
|
|That does not sound professional enough for me. At least add a
|bow tie?
|u/81jmfk - 3 hours
|
|Needs a monocle.
|u/disterb - 2 hours

|Don’t forget your bow tie and monocle.
|u/MatterHairy - 1 hour

|u/alicefreak47 - 1 hour
|
|I'm not even sure if it is around anymore, but there was an upscale
|restaurant in Denver ages ago called Earl's. It was essentially a
|corporate bro Hooters. Think cleavage cocktail dresses, cleavage
|pant suits, revealing blouses and skirts/slacks, you get the idea.
|I actually think I had this conversation with someone on here a
|long time ago.
|u/roguemenace - 39 minutes
|
|It's a chain, they're big in Canada with a few US locations.
|u/dbenhur - 3 hours
|
|Heels, pencil skirt, white blouse unbuttoned to reveal a bit of
|cleavage. Google it.
|u/Danskoesterreich - 3 hours
|
|I am on my work phone. How do I explain why I needed to google
|professionally slutty while at the emergency department?
|u/greenhannibal - 3 hours
|
|The same way you explain Reddit! Or the hospital has been
|bought by PE and they're introducing a new dress code...
|u/ZunoJ - 1 hour
|
|Vpn my dude
|u/BoJackB26354 - 3 hours
|
|OK, fine, twist my pre-twisted rubber arm, I’ll do it.
|u/SwissMargiela - 2 hours
|
|The fact we can’t do photo comments on this sub is an actual sin.
|Not even for this hilarious use, but because allowing people to
|respond with photos adds context and makes explaining things
|easier… and this is a sub where people explain a lot of things.
|u/alicefreak47 - 1 hour
|
|You are looking for Imgur. But they have gotten worse than
|Reddit, IMO and less innovative with posts and such. It was a
|smaller echo chamber than Reddit already is, the last time I went
|there.
|u/SwissMargiela - 1 hour
|
|Ya Imgur is trash. Half the time the links don’t even work when
|you click them from Reddit. Plus it’s choppy experience not
|seeing the image in the comment thread.
|u/Angry0tter - 1 hour
|
|Asking for science, of course.
|u/bungopony - 2 hours
|
|Operating scrubs with cleavage
|u/Gold_Science6089 - 2 hours

|It’s that fine line between looking sharp and, well, a little less
|sharp
|u/Gold_Science6089 - 2 hours

|WHO is Woof the drama ?
|u/LateBloomingADHD - 4 hours
|
|WHY is Woof the drama?
|u/DripIntravenous - 4 hours

|u/Get_your_grape_juice - 4 hours

|u/PandaCat22 - 3 hours

|u/LastChanceReject - 4 hours
|
|Doctor Who's robot companion
|u/ordinarypoh - 4 hours
|
|I think they meant to say wooh.
|u/mgoooooo - 3 hours
|
|Nah, she meant woof. Like “Buzz, your girlfriend. Woof.” except
|to a situation.
|u/Gorgeous12Muse - 3 hours
|
|Did Twin Peaks for two years. The uniform didn't bother me - used to
|dance competitively, so I was comfortable in revealing clothes. What
|got to me was having to be 'on' all the time, even when dealing with
|disrespectful customers. Left for bartending instead.
|u/Shawnee83 - 1 hour
|
|You did a complete 10 degrees!
|u/RustyNK - 2 hours
|
|What does being "on" all the time mean? Like having to fake a smile
|for dudes all day?
|u/banmeagainmodsLOLFU - 2 hours
|
|You have to put on an act for an entire shift. This applies to most
|service jobs where you interact with customers. You cant show your
|true thoughts or emotions, can't cuss out someone when they're
|being rude or unreasonable. I luckily work in an industry where I
|can be pretty direct with clientelle. I still have to be "on" in
|terms of professionalism, and Im already very polite to begin with,
|but I can discipline my clients if I need to and, on some
|occasions, I've needed to.
|u/jiwufja - 1 hour
|
|And you have to filter everything you want to say constantly. I
|have to deal with a lot of young drunk students and have to get
|them to follow my rules even though they really don’t want to.
|Some days I really feel like I’m constantly playing 4D chess. I
|constantly have to think about how I’m saying things and how it
|can be perceived and whether I’m being too nice or too harsh or
|too whatever. This plus like a hundred different factors. And
|doing this while you’re in the middle of it. Also, people are
|constantly asking stuff. And you need to continuously focus on
|what is up with your guests. Whether the tables are clean. Plus
|other shit. It’s fun but a little much sometimes.
|u/fang_xianfu - 7 minutes
|
|> You have to put on an act for an entire shift. This applies to
|most service jobs where you interact with customers. You cant
|show your true thoughts or emotions, can't cuss out someone when
|they're being rude or unreasonable. Man, I hate when service
|culture is like this. When I lived in France, we were regulars at
|a local creperie. We went there probably 3 Saturdays a month for
|lunch. The staff got to know us, would bring us free drinks when
|we walked in. And man would they let you know when they were hung
|over from the night before haha. Sullenly shuffling around the
|restaurant and scowling at people. I appreciated the honesty.
|u/iceariina - 2 hours
|
|Elaborate? I'd love to hear some of your stories.
|u/ZunoJ - 1 hour
|
|Considering how fake americans already are when they don't have
|to be 'on', this sounds absolutely terrifying
|u/TeamWoodElf - 1 hour
|
|Why are you singling out Americans with that comment?
|u/Street-Echo-4485 - 37 minutes
|
|Aren't we talking about American restaurants??!
|u/TeamWoodElf - 30 minutes
|
|Eh, good point.
|u/MamaDMZ - 41 minutes
|
|Have you not noticed how fake most people are here?
|u/zuuzuu - 2 hours
|
|Probably that. There's a certain personality service workers are
|expected to have. Cheerful, friendly, outgoing, charismatic, etc.
|It's like playing a part, and that can be exhausting.
|u/absent_presence72 - 10 minutes
|
|I imagine if one were introverted, it can be exhausting after a
|work shift. I’m just curious what the job interview is like. Is
|the recruiter actively looking for people who are extroverted?
|What were the questions like?
|u/mnl_cntn - 1 hour
|
|Idk if you work in an office setting, but you probably don’t act
|like yourself while at the office right? You go into business mode
|when you walk in and when you leave you get to be more you again
|right? That’s what they mean by on, except it’s harder since they
|have to do it the whole shift instead of hiding in their
|cubicle/office all day.
|u/merceDezBenz10 - 1 hour
|
|I worked at Twin Peaks. It was weird. We weren’t allowed to order off
|the customer menu and had to order off a “spa menu” that featured super
|low calorie options. I also got docked once because my hair wasn’t
|“glam” enough (I’d straightened it instead of curling it one day).
|Not sure how I got the job to begin with because they only have 1 size
|pair of shorts for you to try on in the interview and they were about 3
|sizes too small.
|u/SillyBims - 44 minutes
|
|I think you answered your own question
|u/merceDezBenz10 - 30 minutes
|
|It was actually super unflattering - my stomach and love handles
|were spilling over giving me a bad muffin top and I was almost too
|mortified to walk out. I wasn’t overweight but corporate did have a
|preferred figure when it came to sizing that wasn’t realistic when
|it came to actually hiring people. Maybe management knew that and
|took into account that I’d look better once I bought my own.
|u/shwonka - 1 hour
|
|I did, briefly at a place with velcro Scottish skirts. I’m attractive,
|but my friend who is Helen of Troy level got me the job. I had recently
|lost my first post-college job in my field. In spite of the Scottish
|theme, the boss must not have liked red heads bc I was the only one and
|I was given a skirt nearly twice as long as the other girls. At the
|time I was pretty self conscious about that. I would put the skirt on
|and sing, “ I went to college” every day. I ended up chatting it up
|with a customer who ultimately hired me back into my actual career
|where have since been successful.
|u/Tone-Serious - 1 hour
|
|This reminds me of the Helen unit of attractiveness, 1 milihelen
|means 1 ship will be sent for you, a full Helen is 1000 ships
|u/shwonka - 1 hour
|
|That’s pretty funny.
|u/GrumpyOldGeezer_4711 - 32 minutes
|
|Then there’s what The Simpsons did, put Skinner’s mom as Helen, the
|lady with a face that launched a thousand ships - the other way.
|u/lurker_in_judgment - 36 minutes
|
|Awesome!! But that would be a millihelen. Unless a full Helen is 1
|million ships.
|u/Eppendorfer - 28 minutes
|
|(By the way, it's "millihelen," micro- is 10^-6)
|u/Ezaer - 18 minutes
|
|1 would be a millihelen, micro might get you a leaky canoe and a
|geriatric farmer with a pitchfork
|u/KrebStar9300 - 1 hour
|
|"Helen of Troy level" is a fucking amazing line. Stealing it, sorry.
|u/Hot_Magician_9751 - 9 hours
|
|I worked at hooters part time, it was kinda like a minefield lol but
|you could get pretty big tips if you have regulars
|u/ireadthingsliterally - 6 hours
|
|I imagine big ones would get you better tips over the regular ones,
|no?
|u/rejdus - 5 hours
|
|Some like regular with big tips. Other like big ones with small
|tips.
|u/ireadthingsliterally - 5 hours
|
|Are we still talking about boobs?
|u/binglelemon - 4 hours
|
|Pool cues
|u/Gold_Science6089 - 2 hours
|
|Well, it’s definitely a ‘size matters’ situation, but not always in
|the way you’d expect
|u/Twitchy_throttle - 2 hours
|
|What if you can't do magic though?
|u/92Codester - 1 hour
|
|Did you do magic for them?
|u/Vermicelli_Standard - 34 minutes
|
|Dude here who worked at Hooters. Dishwasher and then fry cook. Uniform
|was a hooters t-shirt. It would get soaked with sweat from the
|radiating heat off 7+ deep fryers, caked up with flour and raw chicken
|from breading the wings, and by the end on an 8 hour shift I looked
|more like a breaded chicken wing than a 17 yr old male. I did NOT get
|laid.
|u/Zech08 - 18 minutes
|
|Probably just needed hot sauce.
|u/show_me_stars - 9 minutes
|
|Real talk!
|u/BeebMommy - 3 hours
|
|I worked for the tilted kilt when I was 18. I made great money compared
|to my college peers, but that was pretty much the only positive out of
|the experience. Dudes were gross, but you kind of go in expecting
|that. The worst part for me was actually the other girls. I was very
|fit and attractive at the time, in a situation where being attractive
|determined things like how good of a section you got at work, so all
|these other attractive girls were in constant catty competition with
|each other. I got the shit bullied out of me. It got so bad that one
|of them roofied me at a party “because it was funny”. Then they did it
|to another girl at work because they were mad at her, and the cops
|ended up being called because she made a scene.
|u/brotouski101 - 2 hours
|
|I don't know but I feel after someone roofies you, I'd no longer call
|it making a scene. It's more rightly losing your shit.
|u/Beowulf33232 - 1 hour
|
|Agreed, I'd bring down the full vengeance of the legal system and
|do everything I could to make them as infamous as Brock Allen
|Turner.
|u/Preposterous_punk - 47 minutes
|
|Are you talking about the rapist Brock Allen Turner? Formerly
|known as the rapist Brock Turner, who now goes by the name the
|name Brock Allen Turner, the rapist, or sometimes just Allen
|Turner, the rapist? I hear that rapist is living in Ohio these
|days. Brock Allen Turner the rapist who lives in Ohio, is that
|who you mean?
|u/Beowulf33232 - 39 minutes
|
|See? That's exactly what I mean. Drug me at a party as a joke
|and if I have my way, that's what's going to happen every time
|someone says your name.
|u/brazilish - 2 hours
|
|Casually drugging your colleagues at work? Normal tuesday at titty

|u/FernSapien - 10 hours
|
|A lot of inappropriate comments. I stayed there for a week before I
|decided it wasn't a good idea. Addendum: I did expect this. I was more
|surprised by how often they happened and how blunt they were.

|u/ireadthingsliterally - 6 hours
|
|You worked at a place called "HOOTERS" and didn't expect
|inappropriate comments? edit : The people downvoting me either have
|no clue about human nature, or have no idea what Hooters is all
|about. I bet you all would expect good behaviour from everyone at a
|strip club ffs. You all need to give your heads a shake. The world
|isn't filled with rainbows and sunshine. Put yourself in a position
|where your body is the selling point and you WILL get inappropriate
|comments. I didn't say I condoned it, or thought it was a good
|thing. I'm just pointing out the absolute ignorance and naiveté in
|thinking a place like that doesn't pull jerks and horny people.
|You all need to go outside and see the world for what it is. What
|I said is true, whether you like it or not. Holy fuck.
|u/oceanpalaces - 4 hours
|
|Dude you can just chill out, why is “I knew it was bad but I didn’t
|think it was This bad so I decided it’s not for me” such a
|controversial statement?
|u/ninasayers21 - 3 hours
|
|Since no one here is saying it, which is disappointing, the problem
|of your comment is that you are blaming the person receiving bad
|behavior instead of being upset at the bad behavior. As a woman,
|men like you are ones I stay away from and I know others feel the
|same. Please think about who the real problem here is: the men who
|continue this behavior, and also you, who don't blame or shame or
|discourage the men who do it. Could women not work these jobs?
|Could women cover their bodies and not go outside? Ok. Maybe men
|can shut their mouths, that's really the easier solution and why
|there is such a gender rift right now.
|u/NotBrokenButWellUsed - 2 hours
|
|You're a dumb motherfucker. You can anticipate some pretty harsh
|shit from people and still be shocked by how low some people can
|go. Deciding something isn't quite what you expected is perfectly
|reasonable. It's amazing that you live a life where all your
|choices are correct 100% of the time,
|u/thisisprobablytrue - 6 hours
|
|You wanted to put food on the table and expected people to be
|decent?
|u/Get_your_grape_juice - 3 hours
|
|The general public is already shitty to service workers. You
|expected the subset that actually goes to specific restaurants
|for the inherent, *advertised* cleavage ogling purposes to be
|“decent” towards the women whose bodies have been advertised to
|them? You cannot be serious. *Want* them to be decent?
|Obviously. “Expect” them to be decent? Based on *what???*
|We’ve just elected to a *second fucking term as US President*, an
|openly misogynistic sexual criminal, who has himself chosen
|another sexual deviant under investigation for statutory rape, to
|serve as Attorney General. We’ve put overwhelming power in the
|hands of people who don’t want women to have healthcare, or maybe
|even the right to vote. Twice now, we’ve failed to elect
|intelligent, educated, competent, professional women to the
|Presidency *in favor of the aforementioned sexual offenders*.
|You *expect* American men, who literally slap rubber testicles
|onto their Earth-fucking, 12-foot tall lifted penis
|compensationmobiles to treat women who work at a deliberately
|sexually-objectifying business, *decently?* *You cannot be
|serious*.
|u/ireadthingsliterally - 5 hours
|
|It's pretty obtuse to think that's all that company stands for.
|It's literally a company that objectifies women to sell things
|and you expect a place like that to attract people who aren't
|there for the T&A? Okay bud. Give your head a shake.
|u/LateBloomingADHD - 4 hours
|
|Eh, I could see a young, naive girl not *really* grasping how
|bad it can be - especially when a lot of people will defend
|places like Hooters saying stuff like, "you see more at the
|beach" or, "I just go for the wings." A young woman might
|think, "it won't be so bad," not realizing that places like
|Hooters are absolutely selling objectification, using the
|judgement free ogling of bodies as their main attraction.
|Which is why that commenter said she quit after a week. She
|expected a little ogling. She didn't expect how gross some
|people will be when they think they can get away with it.
|u/Gene_Shaughts - 3 hours
|
|I mean that’s where the judgement comes from, for me. I truly
|don’t understand the Hooters and Strip Club clientele. It’s
|just performative horniness. The purveyors, sure, stack your
|money; but gross dudes getting off on it, Yeesh. There’s no
|reason they couldn’t be polite while also being losers.

|Let their downvotes come. They either can't read, or think the
|world is far better than it is. Points on reddit mean literally
|nothing. I'm more appalled by the amount of people who think a
|place that's literally predicated their business on hiring women
|and putting them in booty shorts and tight nylon shirts isn't
|also a place that will attract the lowest forms of life.
|They're definitely stupid.

|There's a lot of white knighting in this thread! I mean the
|place is literally called hooters, it's named after the
|waitresses breasts, and the uniform puts them on show. The
|place absolutely treats the staff as objects, and
|encourages the clientele to do the same, and everyone knows
|this. It's their USP. Pointing this out doesn't mean you
|think that's a good thing, or something you would do.

|I worked at Hooters for like a year and a half. Part of the uniform is
|thick brown leggings so to be honest it felt more like wearing a tank
|top with leggings and shorts over that. To be honest, people were
|sometimes really mean (more than they were pervy). A non-insignificant
|number of guys seemed to want to be mean as sort of some revenge
|against “the hot chick” from their high school but … I wasn’t the hot
|chick from their high school? People were also very condescending and
|acted like we were extremely stupid but most of the girls were great
|local college students. I think the saddest I’ve ever seen anyone is
|when I told a man wearing a Phi Beta Kappa pin “oh! I’m a member of

|I worked at a Hooters at a beach location for two summers. The managers
|were all creepy men who were trying to get sexual favors from the
|waitresses. They made sexual and derogatory comments to us. We had an
|after work party once and one of the kitchen guys drove me home. The
|next morning at our daily “start-up” meeting, I was asked in front of
|everyone “He gave you a ride home and you couldn’t even give him a hand
|job?” The place was almost always packed and sometimes had a two hour
|wait. I didn’t mind the uniforms because I was young and in the prime
|of my life. I felt confident and hot! I made a lot of money and those
|summers were really fun. Overall, the people who ate there were a real
|mix of families, teenagers, some horny dudes but the management was
|worse than any customer.

|I used to frequent a twin peaks in Dallas. Only because it was the only
|restaurant within walking distance (I'm from the UK and didn't drive).
|The reason I kept going, was that I kept stealing their staff because
|they were excellent sales people. They had learned on the job and knew
|how to get what they wanted. I eventually was banned from going in, as
|we hired 6 or 7 over the course of a year.

|My buddies gf started working at a Hooters. She was nineteen. I told
|him it was a bad idea. After two months she had several sugar daddies
|in their forties and fifties just straight up paying her for sex. She
|was making about $25k a month. She quit hooters. Kept the sugar
|daddies for about six months. She started drinking heavily, got

|Yeah she was a 100lb tiny cute blonde. This was in Oklahoma City
|during an oil book cycle. The hooters is/was downtown so she had
|rich old oil guys in there. They basically said name a price. She
|named a price so high she thought it was a joke and they just said
|no problem. She wasnt the only girl selling it at that place.
|That multiple guys where propositioning her makes me think it was a

|Oddly enough we used to go to hooters every few weeks and would get

|I remember me and my buddy were down in Florida and went to a hooters.
|The waitress was friendly and we just treated her like any other person
|doing their job, which is what they are. No stupid comments, and she
|seemed extra happy she was treated like a person. After we paid, we
|left and she came running out to thank us for the tip. We said no
|problem, she was a great waitress and thanked her again. I guess locals
|didn’t tip too good down there or being from NY we overtip. Either way
|we felt good cause we realized she must have enjoyed being treating
|like a person, not an object and tipped her based on her work as a
|waitress, not how much she was revealing. Those places are cool to go
