  |In another thread the top comment is wondering why Xi Winnie the Poo
  |being "ready to work" with Trump is significant It's just going to
  |get worse and worse until Jan 20 then who knows

|u/BothZookeepergame612 - 11 hours
|
|This has to be countered by NATO, if North Korea is actually supplying
|the Russian military with equipment...

  |u/kopisiutaidaily - 10 hours
  |
  |Unfortunately NATO or the EU lack the political will to do anything
  |about it.

    |u/milkybadbois - 6 hours
    |
    |Are you kidding? NATO has supplied Ukraine with literally everything
    |except boots on the ground

      |u/kopisiutaidaily - 6 hours
      |
      |Yes they have but there is still disagreements among EU members to
      |provide more aid to Ukraine. Only when they unanimously come to an
      |agreement that it is paramount for the survival of their own
      |country, will they come together as one and provide a full support
      |to repel the incursion. NK and Russian collaboration will be come
      |at a serious cost to stability not just in Europe but also in the
      |Korean Peninsula and its neighbouring region.

      |u/Vaeltaja82 - 8 minutes
      |
      |Yeah and not allow to use these guns to strike Russian soil. I'd
      |accept this if north Korea says that Russia is not allowed to
      |strike Ukrainian soil with their weapons.

  |u/Soundwave_13 - 11 hours
  |
  |That’s cool. We’ve got our third draft of mean words to say. Russia is

  |Sooo, NATO has provided nothing? No Abrams? No HIMARS? No Leopards?
  |F16's? Patriots? Small-arms and ammo? Intel? Get real

    |u/Tom-Dom-bom - 7 hours
    |
    |31 abrams currenttly - which is a joke. Russia loses that in a few
    |days. Ukraine did receive a lot of old tanks. At least s 100.
    |There are thousands of f16 in the west. Ukraine received 10 now+-?
    |What can 10 f16 do against hundreds of russian aicraft. Do tell me.
    |Ukraine received some Himmars, sure. But they have limited targets,
    |if rhey want to fire in Russia - Russia has no such problems.
    |North korea is sending not only 5x more ammo than the west, but also
    |fighting men, which Ukraine has shortage off, and balistic missiles.
    |Also, Iran helped Russia with with setting up russian drone industry
    |while Ukraine mostly relies on donated drones from private sector
    |and commercial drones bought by ukraine Nd converted into fpv
    |drones. So looking at all the context. Ukraine is 10x+ smaller
    |country with way less population and resources. That is getting drip
    |feeded some small amounts of western tech from 1980 at best with
    |some exceptions. With enemy targetring limitations. Time periods
    |where usa randomly stopped sending ammo for 6 months do to politics
    |- where USA says "as long as it fakes" but it can randomly stop
    |supporting ujraine at any time like it did before.... Where uSA
    |is mostly sending equipment that is so old that USA itself was
    |planning to just destroy it - but somehow it is getting written off
    |as "billions of support" and then clueless people watch joe rogan
    |podcast and thinks all of the donated money number is something that
    |is literally taken out of budget.

      |u/monkeywithgun - 2 hours
      |
      |> There are thousands of f16 in the west. Ukraine received 10
      |now+-? What can 10 f16 do against hundreds of russian aicraft. Do
      |tell me. On this it wouldn't matter. The US and it's allies could
      |give them a thousand tomorrow and they still wouldn't have the
      |pilots to fly even 100. The US is currently training around 50 a
      |year. Training space is limited and it takes time especially when
      |most of the Ukrainian pilots need to learn English first as a
      |prerequisite.

      |u/Cheeky_Star - 6 hours
      |
      |Now do the EU

        |u/Tom-Dom-bom - 6 hours
        |
        |That's All of the west combined sadly. Eu did provide tens of
        |billions more support compared to USA now. Plus, EU had to
        |accept millions of refuges. But EU and USA both are not
        |supporting Ukraine enough. Unless you think 10 F16 somehow
        |should win against hundreds of Russian aircraft and that is just
        |one sector. It would be delusional and just straith up moronic
        |to say that Ukraine should have pushed back Russia or something.
        |Russia has like 10x more ammo and equipment capacity.

          |u/lglthrwty - 5 hours
          |
          |Ukraine is to get 70+ F-16s and 20+ Mirage 2000-5s. That is on
          |top of the numerous MIG-29s and Su-25s they have received.
          |That isn't enough though it turns out not a single country
          |wants to build and supply a military large enough of fending
          |off Russia.

  |u/heritage_foundation - 11 hours
  |
  |The US should start providing aid in response to this heinous act. Oh,
  |wait.

    |u/MassiveBoner911_3 - 10 hours

          |Why praise Biden anymore? He’s not who you have to try and
          |suck up to anymore. You want to try and tell trump he’s the
          |second coming of Jesus and hope for the best.

  |u/Content-Swimmer2325 - 2 hours
  |
  |What do you mean "if" NK is "supplying" the Russian military? There
  |are over 15,000 North Korean boots on the ground in Kursk Oblast alone

  |u/mushquest - 11 hours
  |
  |It has been countering the past 3 years supplying Ukraine with arms
  |and vehicles, what are you talking about

    |u/svasalatii - 11 hours
    |
    |Nk does not place any restrictions on using their weapons West
    |doesn't allow Ukraine to strike into Russia rears. See the
    |difference?

      |u/geegee_cholo - 11 hours
      |
      |US set up the entirety of the supply lines quickly early on in the
      |war when people were still shook that Russia invaded Ukraine when
      |US was saying it was going to happen for 4 months. Training
      |Ukrainians for the last 2 years to actually use F-16s? US.
      |Literally the fastest a country has EVER been propped up in
      |history is now, due to the US providing aid AND training on these
      |weapons. These F-16 pilots were trained out of Davis-Monthan AFB
      |in Tucson, Arizona by Arizona Air National Guard. West bad
      |mkkkuhhh

        |u/svasalatii - 10 hours
        |
        |Man, easy I am Ukrainian, and we are jumping off our pants in
        |appreciation to the US, no kidding. For all the help and
        |supplies. But the point is not about it. The point is about
        |restrictions. What's the point of ATACMS if they cannot be used
        |to destroy russian assets BEFORE they kill my neighbors?

          |u/geegee_cholo - 10 hours
          |
          |First, I want to apologize for coming in hot, I see so much US
          |bashing on reddit lately that it gets exhausting to read, but
          |I know its even more frustrating from your end having your
          |hands tied due to another countries politics. The
          |restrictions are really stupid at this point I 100% agree, you
          |guys should have full freedom to do what is necessary to
          |defend yourselves. Coming from one of the few democratic
          |states to actually vote for Harris, I want to see Ukraine
          |fully embraced by the West, US,EU, etc. Its awful what you
          |guys have been going through. I hope that before Biden steps
          |down he lets the flood gates loose and gives you guys a
          |mountain of help before Trump takes office. Slava Ukraini!

            |u/svasalatii - 10 hours
            |
            |No problem What seems likely now is that West, EU, US might
            |lose Ukraine. We don't want that but we have no leverage on
            |it. We are not infinite, neither in headcount nor in
            |tools/weapons/machinery. And seeing how cold and
            |indifferent most West reacts to NK/Iran/China supplying
            |Russia with everything, and now with heavy weapons and, in
            |the part of NK, even soldiers, we start seeing our hands
            |going down... No, we aren't gonna surrender but at some
            |point when no light comes out of the cloud, there will be a
            |choice: preserve some part of our nation or die altogether.
            |The other possible thing is - and we just discussed that
            |within my family and friends - we will build some sort of
            |nuke and make an ultimatum. And when it will be rejected,
            |the thing will fly. I am hoping the last won't happen: I
            |want my kinds to become adult and enjoy life. Because they
            |weren't able to enjoy their childhood - it has been stolen
            |by Russia. Cheers.

      |u/rhino369 - 10 hours
      |
      |The difference is North Korea isn’t afraid Ukraine will sell its
      |enemies long range weapons.   And America is afraid Russia will
      |sell our enemies long range weapons.

        |u/svasalatii - 10 hours
        |
        |🤣🤣🤣

  |u/Silvershanks - 11 hours
  |
  |Um... I wouldn't worry, 99% of what they send will be smoking debris
  |within 10 minutes of contact with the Ukraine forces, they are just
  |sending gear and troops, not a better battle plan.

    |u/Cappyc00l - 10 hours
    |
    |This is so naive

      |u/Silvershanks - 10 hours
      |
      |So... you think the absurd amount of dead Russians soldiers and
      |destroyed Russian equipment is a fabrication? I'm very aware of
      |the western slant on Ukraine war news, but if even half the
      |numbers are true, that's still a gruesome lack of competence from
      |Russian command.

        |u/Cappyc00l - 10 hours
        |
        |No. The notion that a country fighting a battle for survival
        |shouldn’t worry about another country increasingly becoming
        |directly involved is what is naive. The idea that all of the
        |incoming aid and soldiers will be “smoking debris in 10 minutes”
        |is offensively dismissive of the actual struggle on the ground.
        |Try telling a Ukrainian soldier getting shelled nonstop not to
        |worry about it. Also, do keep in mind that it’s entirely
        |possible to lose even if you have better tactics and inflict
        |higher casualties (ask the confederacy, Germany in Russia, and
        |the us in viet nam).

    |u/Ottoguynofeelya - 11 hours
    |
    |Even if it kills one Ukrainian soldier?

      |u/Silvershanks - 10 hours
      |
      |I mean... life is life right? Are you tore up about your tax
      |dollars contributing to 700k dead Russians?

        |u/Ottoguynofeelya - 10 hours
        |
        |The ones that want to kill? No, just the ones that were drafted
        |against their wills and are killing themselves they didn't want
        |to be there so bad.

        |u/Crazy-Canuck463 - 10 hours
        |
        |It's not 700k dead Russians. It's 700k casualties. Not all
        |casualties are deaths.

        |u/Item9_User - 10 hours
        |
        |Yes. I don't hate Russians. Just hate the situation.

  |equipment they sent already

|I wonder how S.Korea is reacting to all of this. They've rattled some
|cages with floating sending more everything to Ukraine.. but haven't
|seen the commitment.

  |u/uti24 - 11 hours
  |
  |And why exactly SK should have a strong desire to help Ukraine? It's
  |not like if SK help Ukraine it's going to weaken NK, I guess it's
  |probably opposite, SK will get weaker seeding their weapons.

    |u/TuddyCicero86 - 11 hours
    |
    |They want to counter N.Korea and doing so in Ukraine is a way to go
    |about it. Calm your tits.

      |u/uti24 - 8 minutes
      |
      |>They want to counter N.Korea and doing so in Ukraine is a way to
      |go about it. And you can explain how exactly it helps SK?

    |u/omnibossk - 11 hours
    |
    |SK also needs to test their weapons. Now only NK will get to find
    |the best strategies and what weapons work best.

      |u/WTGIsaac - 10 hours
      |
      |On top of that there are NK troops and equipment in Ukraine
      |already. Helping Ukraine destroy them means they can’t return to
      |NK and will therefore weaken NK. And SK won’t be weakened much or
      |for long since it could easily just send the oldest equipment
      |that’s being phased out.

    |u/AboveAllOthers9x - 10 hours
    |

    |worlds cars and births cargo ships, carrying a litter of cargo

    |manufacturing of direct equipment but, I feel if Samsung Heavy
    |Industries or Hyundai wanted to build …I dunno…real
    |Transformers….they would do it handily.

      |
      |Samsung is a hell of a company. I mean somehow they manage to

      |warranty expires. You have to admit, that's impressive.

    |u/CommodoreAxis - 28 minutes
    |
    |SK is rumored to have already been sending weapons. They’re one of

  |u/ExcellentHunter - 10 hours
  |
  |Not sure how feasible that would be but spy agencies know when such
  |transports are done. Get ukr specials, plant explosives on nk weapons

|Kim's regime is quite foolish. Putin's government won't transfer Russian

  |MEN. TROOPS. They’ve been supplying weapons for more than a year to
  |Russia. Are you serious?

|u/Oregonmushroomhunt - 10 hours
|
|I don't see how this will help Russia. The battlefield is massive, and
|old technology made for wars that never happened many decades ago won't
|change the front lines. The only thing making these old weapons
|relevant was South Korea's biggest city's close proximity to the North.
|South Korea should make some drones to dispose of these weapons in
|Ukraine/Russia—two birds, one stone.

  |u/senfgurke - 9 hours
  |
  |The Koksan guns are ancient crap but the 240mm MLRS will prove useful
  |for Russia. They will supplement 227mm Uragan MLRS which is suffering
  |from ammunition shortages. The North Korean system outranges Uragan
  |and according the Ukrainian intelligence assessment an updated variant
  |that uses GNSS guided rockets is being sent.

    |This war has a massive 600-mile-plus front line, so the number of
    |stationary weapons being sent will have little impact. In the past,
    |fighting this type of war required millions of soldiers to break
    |through and advance, but Russia hasn't made those commitments.
    |Success in modern warfare requires rapid mobility of Combined arms
    |with real-time intelligence, and drones with satellite networks are
    |whats needed for success. The front lines won't change with these
    |additional weapons from North Korea.

      |I said that they would prove useful, not that they're some miracle
      |weapon that will enable Russian breakthrough. The transfers will
      |help offset Uragan losses and shortages in 227mm rockets, and may
      |even be a slight improvement over the Uragan system, that's all.

|Can we just NOT encourage war? If you’ve been to war, you wouldn’t be
|pushing for more war. I have seen the results. This has to stop.

  |Yes, why do the Allies just not let Nazis win to end the war??

  |Seriously. I feel like I’m talking crazy pills. The same people that
  |were protesting Iraq and Afghanistan are calling for Russian blood.
  |It’s mind boggling how ready these people are to sacrifice an entire
  |generation of Ukrainian men for upvotes and social brownie points.
  |America’s role should be to pressure both sides into a cease fire
  |while a permanent peace can be negotiated. Ukraine will likely come
  |out on the losing end of that peace, but it is impossible for them to
  |hold out against Russia unless America is willing to fund this thing
  |for ten or fifteen more years. And if the election we had the other
  |day didn’t clue you in on it, most people aren’t willing to do this
  |much longer. But, if you really believe in this shit and you’re not
  |scared to put your money where your mouth is, then put down your Xbox
  |controller. Ukraine is accepting volunteers. I’ve provided a link
  |below. https://ildu.com.ua

    |> The same people that were protesting Iraq and Afghanistan are
    |calling for Russian blood. Those people were protesting an illegal
    |invasion back then, they are protesting an illegal invasion now. >
    |sacrifice an entire generation of Ukrainian men Russia tortures,
    |murders and rapes both civilians and soldiers. Accepting Russian
    |occupation will not stop the killing, it will just allow Russia to
    |kill the civilians unimpeded. Russia has publicly stated its goal
    |is to end the existence of Ukrainians as a people, destroy their
    |freedom and democracy, destroy their culture and subjugate them as
    |subjects of their empire. > both sides There are no "both sides".
    |There is an imperialist dictatorship invading a democratic nation.
    |> America is willing to fund this thing And regarding your whining
    |about "funding this", quite the time you Americans started to get
    |concerned about the cost of war. How awfully convenient for Putin
    |for you to start whining about the cost when for the first time in
    |80 years USA is involved in a war where it actually defends a
    |democracy against a dictatorship. When USA itself was invading, or
    |supporting dictatorships, you couldn't manage to "end the wars"
    |then. No, then both sides of your so-called political divide had no
    |issue with war. No problem with trillions wasted and no issue
    |sending American troops to be killed. Then it was all gung-ho and
    |freedom fries. Your pacifism seems to appear at an awfully
    |convenient time to benefit a certain Russian dictator and his paid
    |cronies you just voted for. > Ukraine is accepting volunteers.
    |Ukraine is asking for funding and weapons most of all. Your country
    |spent about $2 trillion in Afghanistan and $3 trillion in Iraq, and
    |achieved basically nothing for it. At this time, you have spent
    |something like $170 billion to support Ukraine, and this now is the
    |cost you poor little things just cannot afford. This is the war
    |where for the first time in 80 years you can actually defend freedom
    |and democracy. Remember those things, "freedom and democracy", isn't
    |that something you Americans like to blather about quite a lot? But
    |now when push comes to shove, USA is shown to be a timid little
    |bootlicker of dictators ranging from Putin to Kim. Your betrayal of
    |your values is beyond disgusting.

    |while a permanent peace can be negotiated. Why should Ukraine be
    |pressured into a cease fire? Ukraine is the one being attacked!
    |If Ukrainians stop fighting, they lose their country and
    |independence. If Russians stop fighting and go back to Russia, the
    |war is over. Only one side needs to be pressured, and it's not the
    |victim.
