A few questions about my set up. Watch History/Resume Video

Hey everyone, I am new to this, but installed Kodi on Firestick TV with
Fen Light, Paid Real Debrid, and Trakt. I have a few questions I'm
hoping I can get help with:

1. Not totally sure what the purpose of Trakt is yet, or how to properly
use it without having to manually input shows I've watched and which
episodes on the browser, which if that's the only way to do it, then I
definitely won't be using it. I assume there's a way that it picks up
your watch history based on what you're viewing in Fen Light?

2. To that end, if that's not what Trakt does, is there somewhere,
again, within Fen, to save watch history, or add shows/movies I want to
watch later to a list?

3. Can I resume where I left off on videos? If i pause just for a few
minutes, my Firestick TV goes to screen saver mode, and then when I go
back, Kodi restarts, I have to go through the whole search rigamarole
(since I can't figure out how to get a watch history) and then I have to
forward to where I was (since I can't figure out a resume function).

4. Lastly, I'm assuming this is how this is supposed to work, but I'm
really only using Kodi to get into Fen. So I have to start up Kodi,
scroll down to Favorites where I've favorited Fen, and then start Fen.
Is this the expected user experience?

Thank you!!

|Trakt keeps track of what you watched and has resume indicators, so it
|knows where in an episode or film you stopped watching. Once in Kodi
|you do have to select the addon you want to use as there are plenty to
|choose from.

|1. I'll give you an example of how I use Trakt. I am a really big fan
|of body horror and I want to discover more body horror movies. If I
|search for "body horror" within Fen Light -> My Lists -> Search User
|Lists, I can find a ton of various movie lists that others have made
|that have "body horror" as a title. These lists are basically like
|random playlists. If I find it one that has a list of movies I like, I
|can "like" the playlist. In the future, when I want to look for body
|horror movies, I have a custom playlist to search. This applies for
|basically anything when it comes to movies. A few other examples of
|lists that are "90s cartoons" (I'm old), "2000s comedies", "2000s sci-
|fi", "adult swim", etc. These lists have replaced traditional
|categories for me. 2. If you open Fen Light and open either the
|"Movies" or "TV Show" menus, there are menu items called "In Progress"
|for both where you can resume your movies or shows. "Watched" and
|"Recently Watched" show you your history. 3. Basically, yes. Unless a
|more advanced user has a better answer. *My* suggestion is to download
|and use the Fentastic skin. It's meant to go with Fen Light and will
|allow you to customize your homepage to be more Netflix-like. For
|instance, I no longer open Fen Light separately. When I browse "Movies"
|or "TV Shows", posters for movies that I can watch using Fen Light show
|up (I can decide what shows up on those lists). It's way better than
|having to load the Fen Light app every time

|For #1, have you authorized Trakt within Fen Light? Once it is
|authorized it should keep track of your history and resume points
|automatically without going to the website.

|No one knows the purpose of trakt just thought it was a useless thing
|to set up sing in once just to remove a kodi error prompt lol... check
|your fen or seren settings, theres usually something in there about
|resuming.... or continuous play and click and play next episodes, ect
|ect.. I have noticed this as well, with fen and seren. sometimes it
|continues, sometimes it asks, you, sometimes i noticed in fen you gotta
|watch the loading screen to quickly click on resume.... Its all
|finicky, but its the best we get. so get used to it. And i can't
|remember but check fen setting's. i did it, i still use. I open Kodi on
|my nvidial shield, and it AUTO goes straight to Fen app.. little
|delayed takes a few seconds, but yea the option exists, just find it in
|the settings, and don't be scared to experiment. My fen app hasn't
|worked in a month, today its working find, riddle me this, riddle me
|that. lol no one fucking knows.
