It is interesting to see the kosher recipes that have recently been posted in this group. However, we goyim don't often know what makes a recipe non-kosher. The lemon meringue pie noticeably avoided all shortenting except vegegable oil and this I think I understand, but why couldn't you use ordinary wheat flour? Also, why potato starch instead of corn starch? Recipes like this one often ask more questions than these. If knowlegeable persons will mail replies to me, I will digest and post them on, say, April 10th. Thanks in advance. John Winterton at decvax!watmath!jcwinterton P.S. oops, I forgot, we will be off the air from April 7th to 10th. Make that date April 15th.
