Net cookies
A near ultimate cookie has been obtained (at least in the eye of this
beholder and in the eyes of several around him). I call them net-cookies,
since they are a combination of several chocolate chip recipes off the net.
Start with the basic *Toll-House* recipe, add a 6 oz bag of butterscotch
chips and ~2 C oatmeal. I tend to double the vanilla in most desserts,
and this batch of cookies was no exception. Had I not been near broke,
I think barely broken (not smashed to bits) pecan halves would have been
added. Huge globs of this dough were pressed on cookie sheets and baked
~15 minutes per batch. Yield: about 45 cookies (they were really big and
I may have eaten 5 or so cookies worth while baking).
