Movie: To Fire You Come at Last
In rural 17th-century England, a group of men gather to carry a young man's coffin on the long walk to the local graveyard for burial: his father; his father's right-hand man; his best friend; and the town drunk. Much ancient folklore and superstition surround the "corpse road," and several of the party are afraid to walk it after dark.
Starring Mark Carlisle, Harry Roebuck, Richard Rowden, Stephen Smith, James Swanton.
Written and directed by Sean Hogan. Produced by Evrim Ersoy. Editing and cinematography by Paul Goodwin, Jim Hinson. Executive produced by David Gregory, Carl Daft, Kier-La Janisse for Severin Films.
So far, this is only available as part of Severin's massive All the Haunts Be Ours Volume 2 folk horror collection, for which it was commissioned. That said, the last ATHBY box set mostly made its way to Shudder, so odds are this will be there soon. JustWatch listing.

Apologies for breaking my informal rule of posting something that isn't streaming or easily available in some other way, but this was a fun watch. In B&W at 42 minutes long, it feels like one of the BBC's Ghost Stories for Christmas.
Very enjoyable little chamber piece and a terrific get for the new ATHBY box set. I know at least one of you nerds also bought this, and I suspect others did, too.
Not only is this a fun watch, but the disc has extras explaining the history and lore of corpse roads and it's fascinating stuff.
At some point, we will need to do a FPP on Kier-La Janisse, the Severin Films producer/curator/horror historian who is becoming one of the most respected people in the genre. Her taste is impeccable, her knowledge is amazingly deep and nuanced, her perspectives are incisive and intersectional, and her ability to find and dredge up hidden gems is peerless.

Oh are you going to do the films in v2 of the ATHBY set, DoT? I haven't opened mine yet but was planning on starting next week. I was surprised how little fanfare there was for this set (which actually includes, at least some of the films I've seen, some very good stuff particularly Edge of the Knife).

TBH, I have been on a taking-advantage-of-boutique-label-sales buying binge and will probably alternate between watching stuff from this new compilation along with various other things I bought from Indicator, Criterion, etc. So I don't know how fast I will be going through these.
Knowing other folks are also watching would probably nudge me into doing more though.

Yo! I just picked up the set and while it's competing with the new Shawscope set and Curzon's Béla Tarr set, my wife and I are going to be giving it a fair amount of time in the next couple of months.

Did you get your Bela Tarr set yet? I haven't even gotten shipping info on mine yet. (Though this is imported via Orbit.)
I sort of suspected more of the pathological film collector segment existed on MeFi than I had noticed, but maybe an All the Haunts Be Ours post can be like a bat signal to draw them out.

Not yet -- I ordered through DiabolikDVD which leaves me in the same boat as you. I would like to believe that I'm not pathological per se but let's be real, the only way I can make that claim is if I ignore my Radiance subscription. Always happy to geek about the topic.
(I think we used to be mutuals on Mastodon before I mostly moved over to Bluesky?)

In my defense, I work in distribution (mostly institutional but I sell to stores all over the world) so I always have lots around to watch.
my Radiance subscription
I was going to dig into the Daiei Box set this weekend.
