Welcome to FifthElement v1.1

What is FifthElement?

FifthElement is a toolbar that can be used to launch your favourite programs.

Installation

Copy FifthElement to your /boot/apps folder, then add

	/boot/apps/FifthElement &

to your /boot/home/config/boot/UserBootscript file.
OR if you have Launch installed, add the following line to your UserBootscript file:

	Launch application/x-vnd.LamaTech-FifthElement

How do I use it?

Just drag your favourite applications (or folders) on to the FifthElement window and -- MAGIC!

To remove an application from FifthElement just right-click (or option-click) on the opplication you want to remove and select "Delete" from the popup menu. NOTE: This does NOT delete the application from your harddrive!!

In the bottom right corner of the FifthElement window there's a small resizing-knob (or whatever) that allows you to move the window around the screen in a deskbar like fashion. Try it out, but beware of a couple of bugs (described in the "Known bug and limitations" paragraph).

Known bugs and limitations

I've recently added a "smart" algorithm to allow the window to snap to the edges of the screen and not overlap the deskbar. Needless to say this "smart" algorithm isn't smart enough... I'll be fixing this in some later release.

FifthElement is freeware, but copyrighted: you have the right to use it, but you don't own it. You are encouraged to share FifthElement with other B eOS users.
