Weather Situation A ridge along the east coast will weaken on Monday as a high pressure system moves east of New Zealand. A trough over the Channel Country will move further east over southwest parts of Queensland tonight, then will move across the northwest, central and southern interior on Monday, before reaching South East Queensland and adjacent coastal waters on Tuesday. A new ridge and moist onshore winds will extend along the east coast from Wednesday, combining with an approaching upper trough to increase rainfall about the southern coast midweek and about the tropical east coast later in the week.
