Weather Situation
A ridge along the east coast will weaken on Monday as a high pressure system
moves east of New Zealand. A trough over the Channel Country will move further
east over southwest parts of Queensland tonight, then will move across the
northwest, central and southern interior on Monday, before reaching South East
Queensland and adjacent coastal waters on Tuesday. A new ridge and moist
onshore winds will extend along the east coast from Wednesday, combining with
an approaching upper trough to increase rainfall about the southern coast
midweek and about the tropical east coast later in the week.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 17 November
Partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower in the southwest, near zero chance
elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm in the southwest. Winds northeasterly
20 to 30 km/h.

Forecast for Monday 18 November
Partly cloudy. High chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and
evening. The chance of a thunderstorm, possibly severe. Winds north to
northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h tending north to northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the
morning then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to
between 15 and 20 with daytime temperatures reaching the low 30s.
