Weather Situation
A ridge along the east coast will weaken on Monday as a high pressure system
moves east of New Zealand. A trough over the Channel Country will move further
east over southwest parts of Queensland tonight, then will move across the
northwest, central and southern interior on Monday, before reaching South East
Queensland and adjacent coastal waters on Tuesday. A new ridge and moist
onshore winds will extend along the east coast from Wednesday, combining with
an approaching upper trough to increase rainfall about the southern coast
midweek and about the tropical east coast later in the week.

Mostly clear. The chance of a thunderstorm in the west. Winds east to
northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h.

Forecast for Monday 18 November
Mostly sunny. Slight chance of a shower in the southwest, near zero chance
elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm in the southwest. Winds east to
northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 19 and
25 with daytime temperatures reaching the mid to high 30s.

Mostly sunny. Medium chance of showers in the west in the afternoon and
evening. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm in
the southwest. Winds east to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the
early afternoon then becoming northeast to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the
late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 19 and 25 with
daytime temperatures reaching the mid to high 30s.
