Five Dead in South Africa Helicopter Crash A South African military helicopter has crashed during an anti-poaching mission, killing all five people aboard. The South African army announced Sunday that the helicopter was doing an aerial patrol of the Kruger National Park when the aircraft went down Saturday evening. An investigation of the cause is under way. The five air force members were patrolling for poachers of rhino horn in the park, in response to a steep rise in rhino poaching over the past three years. Last week, three suspected rhino poachers were killed in Kruger Park in a shootout with park rangers. Authorities have arrested more than 60 people since the beginning of the year for rhino poaching and related activities. Rhino horn is in demand in parts of Asia where it is seen as a medicinal material. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/five-dead-in-south-africa-helicopter- crash/1631931.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/five-dead-in-south-africa-helicopter-crash/1631931.html
