Roadside Blasts Kill 6 NATO Troops in Afghanistan

NATO says four American soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb outside
Kunduz and a roadside bomb killed two foreign soldiers 
Officials in Afghanistan say roadside bombs in the south and north of
the country have killed six foreign troops and at least two Afghan
civilians.

killed by a roadside bomb outside the northern city Kunduz. Local
officials say they were training Afghan security forces. In southern
Afghanistan, local officials say a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb
near the main gate of the regional NATO military base, killing at least
two civilians and wounding 14 others. Military and police officials say
the attacker blew himself up near the entrance of the Kandahar Air Field
early Monday. In a separate blast in the south, NATO officials said a
roadside bomb killed two foreign soldiers. Meanwhile, Russia says it has
agreed to let the United States fly troops and weapons across its
territory to Afghanistan. The United States and NATO forces are
exploring alternative supply routes following increasing violence on the
main overland!
  transport routes through Pakistan. The agreement follows talks in
Moscow between U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry
Medvedev. Under the announced deal, Russia will allow 4,500 U.S.
military flights annually, or about 12 each day, over Russian territory.
