Polls Show Obama Has Double-Digit Lead Over McCain

Democratic presidential candidate is ahead of his rival John Mc Cain in
Virginia, traditionally a Republican-leaning state 
Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama greets supporters as

polls say Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has opened a
double-digit lead over Republican John Mc Cain, just 13 days before
American voters elect a new president. Senator Mc Cain Wednesday will
hold rallies and conduct media interviews as he tries to regain lost
ground. The Arizona senator will be campaigning in two key states: New
Hampshire and Ohio. Polls show Obama ahead in both of those states.
Senator Obama will meet Wednesday with his national security advisors
and focus on foreign policy while campaigning in the southern state of
Virginia. Polls show Obama ahead of Mc Cain in Virginia - a
traditionally Republican-leaning state - by eight percentage points.
President George Bush took the state in the last two presidential
elections. Obama will take Thursday and Friday off to visit his ailing
grandmother in Hawaii, where she helped raise him. The grandmother,
85-year-old Madelyn Dunham, is gravely ill.
