American soldiers secure the area where police recruits were killed
Iraqi authorities say a suicide car bomber has killed at least seven
police recruits and wounded 13 others.

They say the bomber drove his car into the recruits' bus north of
Baghdad Monday.

In the capital, gunmen attacked a convoy carrying Turkey's ambassador,
in the latest attack against diplomatic personnel in Iraq. No serious
injuries were reported in that incident.

Meanwhile, Iraqi Oil Minister Ibrahim Bahr al-Uloum says he resigned
last week after the government put him on forced leave following his
criticism of fuel price increases.

The U.S. military also says four American civilian contractors were
killed and 18 others injured in an accident Sunday when their bus hit
a truck in western Anbar province.
