India: Death Toll Rises to 400 in Kerala's Historic Flooding
------------------------------------------------------------

In more climate change news, the death toll from the historic flooding
in India's southern state of Kerala has risen to 400 people. It's the
worst flooding in a century and has displaced up to 1 million people.
This is Chandra Bose, whose home was swept away by the waters.

Chandra Bose: "There is not even a shred of evidence that our house once
stood here. We are unable to do anything. Even the clothes that we are
wearing right now were given to us by other people. I have left my
daughter in an orphanage for now. We have no means to live. We are in a
situation where we just cannot do anything. We don't know what to do
next or what is going to happen to us next."
