July 25, 2016 WNBA Reverses Fine for Players Wearing T-Shirts for Victims of Police --------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, the WNBA has reversed its decision to fine players for wearing black T-shirts to honor recent victims of police violence in the U.S. The players wore the shirts earlier this month after the killings by police of two African-American men, Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. The WNBA announced fines of $5,000 for three teams last week, saying players had violated the league's "uniform regulations."
