Venezuela: Right-Wing Opposition Wins Majority in National Assembly
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, in Venezuela, the right-wing opposition party seized a
majority in the National Assembly for the first time in years, winning
99 out of the 167 seats in Sunday's elections. The ruling socialist
party won only 46 seats. President Nicolás Maduro accepted the election
results, saying they did not signal an end to the Bolivarian revolution
that began when Hugo Chávez was elected in 1999.
