Afghanistan: Taliban Attacks U.S. Consulate in Herat

In Afghanistan, Taliban militants attacked the U.S. consulate in the
western city of Herat early this morning, setting off explosives and
exchanging fire with security forces. Two Afghan police, a security
guard and seven attackers died in the assault. The U.S. consulate said
all of its personnel are safe.
